Piping Expansion Joints or Expansion Bellows are highly engineered mechanical devices containing one or more metal bellows. Expansion Joints absorb dimensional changes caused by thermal expansion or contraction of a pipeline, duct, or vessel while containing the system pressure. It consists of one or more convolutions. Expansion joints are successfully used in Cement, Steel, Chemical and Petrochemical Plants, Refineries, Cryogenic plants and Nuclear power plants.
